All media messages are constructed, that is, they are created by a specific person or group for a specific reason (more on this later).
When you are reviewing a media message, ask yourself "Can I tell who created the message?" With advertisements for specific products, this will be easy.
But even a news broadcast was created by someone who has an agenda, be it the anchor, editor, station owner, or some combination of these people. And that person, or those people, chose not only what to say or to show, but also what not to say and not to show.
